The legal battle of famous YouTuber Rajab Butt took a violent turn on December 29, 2025, at the Karachi City Courts. Following a physical assault and alleged robbery, a formal FIR has been registered against several legal professionals. This article provides the most up-to-date reports on the sections charged, the missing cash, and the official statements from the Rajab family.

Incident Overview: What Happened at Karachi City Court?

✅ On Monday, Rajab Butt arrived at the sessions court for a hearing regarding his interim bail in a case related to religious sentiments.

Upon entering the complex, a group of 15 to 20 lawyers allegedly surrounded and physically assaulted him, leaving him with visible injuries and a torn shirt.

The chaos was captured in multiple viral videos, showing the YouTuber being roughed up despite attempts by his legal team to intervene.

The FIR: Sections and Named Accused

A formal First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the City Court Police Station on the complaint of Rajab’s counsel, Mian Ali Ashfaq.

Primary Accused: The FIR specifically names Advocate Riaz Ali Solangi and Advocate Abdul Fatah, along with a group of unidentified lawyers.

 Legal Sections Charged:

The Rs 3 Lakh Robbery Allegation

According to the FIR, the bag was snatched during the scuffle. While the bag was later returned by the attackers, the cash was reportedly missing.

Mian Ali Ashfaq has called for a strict investigation into this "daylight robbery" within the court premises.

Why Did the Lawyers Attack?

The lawyers involved claimed the attack was a reaction to a recent vlog uploaded by Rajab Butt after his December 20 appearance.

They alleged that Rajab used "derogatory and inappropriate language" against the legal fraternity and specifically mocked the complainant, Riaz Solangi.

In the viral videos of the incident, lawyers can be heard chanting "Karachi Bar Zindabad" and warning that "anyone who speaks against lawyers will face the same fate."

Current Legal Status & Next Steps

Official Statements: Sindh Home Minister Zia Lanjar termed the incident "unfortunate and regrettable," stating that lawyers should not take the law into their own hands.

Eman Rajab’s Reaction: Rajab’s wife, Eman, has demanded justice through the power of the constitution, refusing to accept "chaos" as a form of justice.
