Scholarships are open for PHD In USA
FALL 2025, Spring/Summer 2026 &Fall 2026 Admissions

Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan under its project, US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Invites applications for award of scholarships for PhD program in top 300 QS World Ranked US universities.

The scholarship is only for the PhD Program and does not include MS Leading to PhD.

Preference shall be given to applicants having admission in preferred subject areas as mentioned on HEC website.

Applications for scholarship shall be submitted online through HEC scholarship portal at: https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk

Eligibility Criteria.

a. Pakistani/AJK nationals

b. Minimum 4 years bachelor's degree (BS/BSC /BE/16 years formal education)

C. No 2 or 3 Division in entire academic career for category-1 &II scholarship.

d. Maximum age on the closing date shall not exceed:

✅40 years in case of regular Government employees/regular faculty members of public sector universities & Government colleges/regular researchers of approved R&O organizations.

✅35 years in all other cases

✅Must not be availing any other scholarship

Specific Eligibility Criteria

1. Category 1-Scholarship (Top 50 QS World Ranked US Universities-Overall/Subject Ranking)

✅Tuition Fee as per University Invoice

✅Stipend and Health insurance

✅The prospective applicants must have

☑Secured admission in top 500S World Ranked US University

☑Valid GRE-General Score (Minimum 300 in totall) OR HEC HAT Score (Minimum 60%).

2. Category II-Scholarship (51-300 QS World Ranked US Universities-Overall/Subject Ranking):

☑A tuition fee up to U50 12,000/-per annum

☑Stipend and Health Insurance

☑For this category of scholarship, prospective applicants must have
a. Secured admission in top (51-300) QS World Ranked US University
b. Subject Ranking up to 100
c. Valid GRE-General Score (Minimum 300 in totaly OR MAT Score (Minimum 60%).

For this category of scholarship, prospective applicants must have

a. Secured admission in top (51-300) QS World Ranked US University

b. Subject Ranking up to 100

Valid GRE-General Score (Minimum 300 in totaly OR MAT Score (Minimum 60%).A tuition fee up to U50 12,000/-per annum

Stipend and Health Insurance

For this category of scholarship, prospective applicants must have

a. Secured admission in top (51-300) QS World Ranked US University

b. Subject Ranking up to 100

Valid GRE-General Score (Minimum 300 in totaly OR MAT Score (Minimum 60%).

Important Note

a. Applications for scholarships are invited from these prospective applicants who satisfy both general and specific eligibility criteria

b. There will be no binding on HEC to provide scholarships to all selectees. HEC will select only best of the best among this lot on merit

For scholarship award, preference will be given to students who have secured admission in top 100 QS US World Ranked University and Subject Ranking up to 100.

d. The latest OS Ranking (2025) shall apply. www.topuniversities.com website will be used as a reference for QS Ranking

Fall 2025:
20th July, 2025

Spring/Summer 2026:
15th November, 2025 

Fall 2026 admission:
20th April 2026
