Gohar Rasheed, whose full name is Mirza Gohar Rasheed, hails from Lahore, Punjab. He is the grandson of the esteemed Islamic scholar Ghulam Ahmed Perwez. Despite his family's inclination towards the stock trading business, Gohar chose a path in the entertainment industry, pursuing his passion for acting and media.

Gohar Rasheed Grown up in Lahore and received his early education from Lahore. Growing up in Lahore.was inclined towards the arts from a young age. He attended Government College University, Lahore, before moving to Beaconhouse National University, where he majored in Theatre, Film, and Television, and minored in Journalism. Theater

In 2008, Rasheed made his stage debut as an Indian character named Vikram in Shah Sharabeel's directed and produced Bombay Dreams. He played The Duke of Monroth in the musical Moulin Rouge, which was his first significant theater role. Later, he played General Zia-ul-Haq in Anwar Maqsood and Dawar Mehmood's 2013 political drama The Sawa 14 August. In 2014, he played Iftekhar in Anwar and Dawar's humorous piece Half Plate.

Television

Together with Samiya Mumtaz, Rasheed made his acting debut in Daddy as a supporting role. He also garnered widespread praise for his work on television in the drama series Shikwa. He made appearances in the serials Goyaa, Khuda Na Karay, and Nazdeekiyan in addition to playing Shaukt in Hum TV's Digest Writer. Gohar claims that his purview is theater and cinema and that "TV needs to grow up first, because I am not going to end up with roles that have been done hundreds of times." Writer Gohar signed a number of 2015 dramas with ARY Digital after receiving plaudits for Digest. These included Bismil, which starred Hareem Farooq and Aitraz (formerly known as Tum Rahay Na Tum) opposite Imran Abbas, Sana Javed and Sania Saeed, and Paiwand. He costarred with Maya Ali and Ayesha Khan in Mann Mayal (2016) as Meekail.

Film

Among his cinematic credits are Main Hoon and Seedlings. Shahid Afridi, who was highly praised for his performance in Seedlings. Humayun Saeed gave him the part in the ensemble movie Main Hoon Shahid Afridi in exchange for his performance in Moulin Rouge.

Gohar was cast as Babar, one of three antagonists alongside Bilal Ashraf and Ayaz Samoo in Zeba Bakhtiar's 2013 film O21. In addition to Humayun Saeed, Gohar played the roles of Baran in Hassan Waqas Rana's war epic Yalghaar, Shafqat Cheema in Hamza Ali Abbasi's as-yet-unreleased action-comedy Kambakht, and corrupt SHO Jibroun. Alongside Sana Javed and Bilal Ashraf, he plays the dholak in Aamir Mohiuddin's Rangreza. He plays renowned Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar in the Rawalpindi Express movie from 2023.
